eBranch Excitement

Our library system is now working on eBranch Excitement which has a lot of interesting updated information. I'm now working at two different branches than the previous two branches.

SJPL has a new learning module: eBooks Excitement. This will familiarize us with eBooks.

Branching out...

Oops! I've broken what I think may be a cardinal rule of blogging - BLOG OFTEN! Anyway, I completed my first week at a branch library. The customers are very nice and my new co-workers are also very nice. This will be a good learning experience for me. There are also plenty of places to go grocery shopping on the way home: Chavez Supermarket, Grocery Outlet, and Smart and Final.

The U.S. federal legislation has recognized the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2008 to called Native American Heritage Day, in honor of American Indians' contributions throughout United States history. After Thanksgiving weekend, Frank Suniga and others will lobby to make Native American Heritage Day an annual observance.

One reason I'm annoyed with American News Shows

I spent a half an hour perusing the web with a news show on in the background. There was a lot of good Olympics coverage, as well as a few other stories. Nothing about the conflict between Georgia and Russia. What's with that?
